How would you sum up Amy?

Amy has been at Learning Curves since it started at Southam Leisure Centre, many years ago! The first routine she ever learnt from Lian was Dirrty by Christina Aguilera, and it is still her favourite! She performed with the rest of the Southam class in the Learning Curves Shows held at the Solihull Arts Complex.

Amy then went on to take many freestyle examinations with the International Dance Teachers Association and proved successful as she achieved honours in almost all of them.

Amy has always had a passion for teaching and this showed when Lian and Katie asked her and Beth to assist the younger children’s lessons at Southam. Amy loved helping in these classes and it was then that she realised she wanted to train to become a professional dance teacher. She decided that in her year out between Sixth form and University, she wanted to be trained by Lian.

Amy gained her professional teacher qualification at the end of June and gained 92%. In her year out, she also attended Stratford College to study AS level Dance and gained a B. Amy is attending Warwick University to study Early Childhood Studies which will lead her into teaching. She is living at home so she is still able to carry on teaching for Lian, so she gets the best of both!
