How would you sum up Emily Ballard?

Emily began ballet in Yorkshire as young as 4 but was in search for something new after moving to the Midlands. Emily was 13 when she took up Freestyle dance. She attended Learning Curves first ever class at Southam Leisure Centre in 2003 after seeing Lian perform in an assembly at her school. She has not stopped since! She loved performing with the rest of the Southam class in the Learning Curves Shows held at the Solihull Arts Complex. Any excuse to get dolled up! Emily then went on to take twelve freestyle examinations with the International Dance Teachers Association and proved successful as she achieved Highly Commended in her first three and Honours from then onwards.

After Emily had a weeks work experience with Lian in 2005, it opened up her eyes to the world of teaching. Since then it has been her ambition to become a dance teacher so she can pass on her knowledge and creativity. Whilst studying her degree in Photographic Practice, she has been assisting Amy with the Southam classes since 2008. They make a fantastic team! Emily graduates from The University of Northampton in July 2011 intending to pursue both her photography and her dancing. These have complemented each other well as Emily has done photography for the Learning Curves Programmes and also the new range of dance wear.
