How would you sum up Katie Cooper?

Katie is trained in Theatre Arts and attended Bretton Hall Drama School at Leeds University gaining a BA Honours in Theatre and Broadcasting. Prior to University Katie attended Stratford College gaining A Levels including Theatre Studies and English Literature.

Katie has always thrived on stage where her talents for drama, singing and dancing always shone through. It was this talent and love for performance that lead Katie to want to teach. In 2003 Lian trained Katie for her professional dance teachers’ qualification with the IDTA at Associate level, achieving 90%. Katie has since been passing on her excellent knowledge and teaching to her students who have gained superb exam grades – a credit to the Dance School.

As well as teaching for Learning Curves Katie is now the Principal of StarStruck Theatre School teaching students the principals and techniques of professional drama, singing and musical theatre. Students of Learning Curves often take advantage of the opportunity to polish their singing and acting skills. The two schools work closely together, and as Lian and Katie are sisters they work in perfect harmony….well most of the time!
